But that is not necessarily an easy task. Until we face the variety of demons in our own souls and surrender them to God, it can be very difficult, if not impossible, to focus on others. Jesus as Healer of the Demons in Our Souls An area of soul healing often mentioned in the Gospels is Jesus’ healing people from demons (Matthew 4:23–25, 8:14–17, 8:28–34, 9:32–34, 12:22–32; Mark 16:9; Luke 7:21, 13:10–17). Being able to honestly answer questions like these requires a great deal of awareness. ” But David, the Psalmist, understood that self-awareness alone was not enough. Mean people are not easy to like, much less love. Yet if we want to follow the Golden Rule, we must be loving and kind. That is the path to soul healing, and it’s not always an easy one.
